The Short Version
We collect only what we need. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. You own your content. You can delete everything anytime.
The long version below is the legal detail behind those four sentences. But that's genuinely the whole story.

SlashMe is a link in bio platform built for creators. It's operated by the SlashMe Team, based in India.

We're a small team. When you email us, a real person reads it.
02. What Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Give Us Directly
When you create an account or use SlashMe, you give us:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password when you sign up
- Profile information — your display name, bio, profile photo, and links you add to your page
- Payment information — when you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by DodoPayments (or Razorpay). We do not store your card details. We only receive confirmation that a payment was made and your subscription status.
- Digital products — files you upload to sell through your page, stored securely on our cloud infrastructure
- Support communications — when you contact us, we keep a record of that conversation
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use SlashMe, we automatically collect:
- Usage data — pages you visit, features you use, actions you take inside the product
- Device information — browser type, operating system, screen size
- IP address — used to determine approximate location for analytics
- Cookies and similar technologies — described in detail in Section 7
2.3 Information From Your Page Visitors
When someone visits your SlashMe page, we collect:
- Page view count
- Link click count
- Approximate visitor location (country/city level only — never precise)
- Referring source (where they came from)
- Device type (mobile or desktop)
This data is shown to you as analytics. We do not sell or share your visitors' data with third parties.
03. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Run the product
- Create and maintain your account
- Display your bio page to visitors
- Process your Pro subscription
- Store and serve your digital products
- Provide your analytics dashboard
Improve the product
- Understand how features are being used
- Identify bugs and fix them
- Decide what to build next
Communicate with you
- Send onboarding emails when you sign up
- Notify you about product updates we think are relevant
- Respond to support requests
- Send billing receipts and subscription reminders
We do not use your data to serve you ads. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your information to data brokers or third parties.
04. How We Share Your Information
We share your data only in these specific situations:
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services like DodoPayments, Cloudinary, and Vercel to operate SlashMe. We only share what's necessary for them to do their job.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law.
- Business Transfers: If SlashMe is acquired, your data may be transferred part of that transaction.
- Your Public Page: Your SlashMe page is public by default. Everything you add is visible to anyone.
05. Data Storage and Security
SlashMe is hosted on Vercel with databases in secure regions. All data is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed — we cannot see your password.
We keep active account data as long as your account exists. Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days.
06. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data at any time. You can delete your account from your dashboard settings.
